The Level 3 Women's Health & Menopause Course is fully accredited by Focus Awards, Ofqual and provides 10 CIMSPA points. Typically learners complete within 2-6 weeks with 1-3 hours of homestudy per week.

Entry Requirements
To complete this course, you must already hold (or be working towards) a Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification (this could be Level 2 Gym, Exercise To Music or Group Training).
If you don’t already have this, you can complete it alongside this qualification with our ''Level 2 Gym Instructor course". Many of our learners complete the Level 2 Gym Instructor course and Level 3 Women's Health & Menopause course as a course bundle.
What will you learn
Module 1: Women's Health from Puberty to Perimenopause:
You'll explore 14 interactive tutorials and gain a deep understanding of female hormonal physiology from puberty through perimenopause. You’ll explore how oestrogen, progesterone, and other hormones influence energy, mood, recovery, and performance. This foundation allows you to interpret client responses to training and nutrition and tailor programmes with confidence.
You’ll learn how to track cycles effectively, recognise patterns, and use this data to individualise training and recovery. Understanding normal fluctuations versus red flags empowers you to support clients safely while building trust and long-term adherence.
Education also covers how habits, nutrition, and physical activity during early life stages shape midlife health. You’ll be able to guide clients toward strong foundations that minimise the impact of menopause later, supporting lifelong strength, resilience, and wellbeing.
Module 2: Women's Health from Perimenopause, Menopause, Post-Menopause and Midlife:
You'll deep dive into 16 interactive tutorials and understand the physiological and psychological changes of perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause. You’ll explore fluctuating hormones, symptom clusters, and their impact on performance, recovery, motivation, and overall wellbeing.
You’ll learn symptom-aware coaching strategies, how to autoregulate training and recovery, and how to individualise nutrition to stabilise energy, support metabolism, and maintain muscle and bone health. HRT, lifestyle factors, and psychological stressors are integrated to inform evidence-based coaching decisions.
Finally, you’ll gain skills in goal-setting, communication, and empowerment for midlife clients. You’ll know how to help clients set realistic outcomes, create process goals, and build long-term adherence while maintaining confidence, autonomy, and motivation through this transformative life stage.
How you'll be assessed
You’ll receive a Learner Achievement Portfolio (your coursework pack), which contains everything you need to complete your assessments.
Module 1 covers women’s health from puberty to perimenopause, with 14 concise tutorials. Each tutorial includes 3–5 quiz questions with instant results, and you can retake them anytime to ensure you fully grasp the material.
Module 2 explores women's health from perimenopause to post-menopause and midlife. There are 15 tutorials, each have 1-3 quiz questions plus short answer coursework questions and session plan to complete.
You can submit your coursework for feedback and marking at any time. You can complete your coursework online or handwritten, which ever you'd prefer.
There is NO practical assessment to this course.
This level 3 CPD course is 100% online and can be completed in just 1–4 hours per week. You must complete 100% of the attendance to fully qulaify.
